Dear MR Community,

I am pleased to share the news that Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Andreas Müller has taken on the role of Editor-in-Chief of the ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics (JMR), with his term having commenced in January 2026.

Andreas brings extensive editorial experience and a strong research background in mechanisms and robotics to this role. He is Head of the Institute of Robotics at Johannes Kepler University Linz, a Fellow of ASME, and a Senior Member of IEEE. We look forward to seeing JMR continue to thrive and grow under his leadership.

As we welcome Andreas to this important position, I would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Venkat Krovi for his outstanding service as Editor-in-Chief over the past eight years. Venkat has been instrumental in advancing the quality, visibility, and reputation of the journal, and his dedication has left a lasting impact on our field.

Andreas is actively seeking qualified colleagues to serve as Associate Editors for JMR. If you have a strong research record in mechanisms and robotics and are interested in contributing to the journal's editorial work, I encourage you to reach out to him directly at a.mu...@jku.at.

Please join me in welcoming Andreas to this role and in thanking Venkat for his exemplary service to our community.

Best regards,

Chin-Hsing
