ASME K-16: New K-16 Secretary & Virtual Meeting Next Week

Hello All -

Thanks to everyone who took time to vote in the poll for the new secretary for ASME K-16. We are pleased to announce that Prof. Chirag Kharangate (Case Western Reserve University) will serve as secretary for the next two years and then move up in the leadership team. 

We plan to hold a virtual meeting next week on Wednesday July 16 at 10 am US eastern time to update members on activities. The connection info is below and a calendar invitation is attached. We appreciate the input in the poll regarding the virtual meeting. We want to assure members that the virtual meetings are not intended to replace the in-person meetings, but rather supplement them and allow more consistent participation from people who are unable to attend all the conferences in person. We understand this single timeslot will not work with everyone, so we will as usual share key updates (including the 2025 Call for Award Nominees) by email and linkedin over the next few weeks. 

We also thank Baris Dogruoz for his service on the leadership team over the past 6 years and look forward to recognizing his contributions at InterPACK 2026 with the 2025 ASME Clock Award!
