2013-2014 Diversity Action Grants
How Do I Qualify?
The Diversity Action Grant program, sponsored by the Committee on Diversity Strategy, awards grants up to $3,000 to ASME Student Sections to sponsor events/activities which:
- Promote the inclusion of women and under-represented minorities in ASME Student Sections and in mechanical engineering
- Inspire Pre-College students to excel in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education
- Engage international participation in ASME Student Sections
- Assist minority and/or women-owned businesses solve engineering design problems
- Assist developing communities with service learning design projects (collaboration with EWB-USA student chapter projects strongly encouraged)
Deadline Extended: November 22, 2013
Applications received by this date will be considered for the 2013-2014 academic year.

NOTE: Projects that are collaborative partnerships with other engineering societies on campus (such as NSBE, SHPE, SWE, EWB-USA, etc.), as well as international in scope are strongly encouraged.
