Purchasing Bike Frame From Vendor:

Hi There,

Our club has run into difficulties with fabricating a frame for competition and/or finding a company who who can fabricate it at cost in a reasonable time period. Is there any restriction on purchasing a bike frame from a vendor, then adding our RPS, seat, harness, electrical bulkhead, etc. by ourselves? 

If so, would we need to declare where we received the bike frame from on our design report?

Hi Dean,

You can use an externally sourced frame as long as it meets the design and safety standards mentioned in the rulebook. 

However, it clearly needs to be mentioned in the design report which part of the vehicle was not designed/manufactured by the team in the current year.
