The Houston area ASME-International Gas Turbine Technical Chapter is dedicated to the design, manufacture, operation, maintenance and business of gas turbine based technologies. Every individual and organization with an interest in this technology is encouraged to participate (ASME membership is not required, but encouraged). Meetings are generally from 6 PM to 9 PM. Speaker's Biography:
Mr. Ross obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1980 from The University of Texas. He went to work for Stewart & Steven Services designing diesel power generator packages. S&S started packaging GE LM2500 gas turbines in the early 1980s. Mr. Ross was part of the Gas Turbine Division of S&S that moved to Jacintoport in 1986. Jacintoport built LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, LMS100 packages using the GE aeroderivative engines. GE purchased the S&S Gas Turbine Division in 1998. Mr. Ross was Manager of Mechanical Engineering during the design of the first LM6000 packages. Mr. Ross worked on several teams while at GE and S&S, including the Marine Team building generators for the cruise ship industry, the Hungary Team that established a manufacturing plant near Budapest and the FETT testing of the LMS100 at Jport.
Mr. Ross was a Chief Consulting Engineer for GE Aero from May 2002 until January 2018. He is a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas since 1986, member of API 616 Task Force, recipient of 9 patents and a GE Edison Award in 2009. He now works for Relevant Power Solutions building the SGT-A45 mobile generator package for Siemens.

Coming from BW8 North and Hardy Toll Road or I-45 and Hardy Toll Road – Note this is a Toll Road:
- Take the Hardy toll road to the East Richey Road exit and exit to the East
- After crossing the railroad tracks, turn left onto East Hardy Road and proceed North
- Take East Hardy road approximately 1 mile just past the Relevant Power facility on the right and turn right onto Candle Ridge Park Drive with the first turn in on the right.
- The meeting entrance will be marked by signs.
Coming from I-45:
- Take I-45 to the East Richey Road exit and exit to the East
- Proceed approximately 2 miles to East Hardy Toll Road and turn left, North
- Follow the applicable instructions above
PLEASE NOTE: There is a lot of construction and traffic in this area so remain flexible and vigilant as traffic may change based on construction activities!!
