2. Please remember with the Google Group shutting down now, all notices and communications will be sent through the Traffic Wave system after this notice and you have to sign up and “opt in”. The asmegttc.org web site will be migrating to an ASME page in the next 12 months as well and it is not as easy to find (see link at bottom of notice). If you have not received that yet, please let me know at the e-mail below, but if you have, great and I appreciate your tolerance of duplicate meeting notices for this meeting only.

We have a pretty different meeting planned for 25 Jan 21 that will be on line with meeting links sent in the RSVP process.

Speakers’ Biography:
Lorin Shirdon: Lorin Shirdon is a senior turbine / compressor mechanical engineer at Chart Industries, a leading global gas to liquids company. He spent 6 years as a Gas turbine Technician (E-6) in the US Navy on board DD-979 Conolly a Spruance Class Destroyer managing LM2500’s, Allison 501-K17 turbines as well as the entire engineering section, numerous years with GE 7FA/EA engineering, and Duke Energy/Fluor in EPC Project Engineering. One of his career highlights was a 3-year Cogeneration project in SE Houston (South Houston Green Power) using GEX-7FA's. Lorin also developed solutions with HP Steam turbines and boilers up to 2400 psig. Lorin and his wife celebrate 26 years of marriage with three young adults, Ages 24, 21 and 20, all in local universities. He graduated from Wright State University, near Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton Ohio with a BSME.
Harley Ross: Mr. Ross obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1980 from The University of Texas. He went to work for Stewart & Stevenson Services designing diesel power generator packages. S&S started packaging GE LM2500 gas turbines in the early 1980s and Mr. Ross was part of the S&S Gas Turbine Products Division that moved to Jacintoport in 1986. S&S built LM2500, LM5000, LM6000 and LMS100 packages using the GE aeroderivative engines. S&S also packaged Garrett, Allison and EGT gas turbines. Mr. Ross was Manager of Mechanical Engineering during the design of the first LM6000 packages. Mr. Ross worked on several teams while at GE (purchased S&S in 1998) and S&S, including the Marine Team building turbine generators for the cruise ship industry, the Hungary Team that established a manufacturing plant near Budapest and the FETT testing of the LMS100 at Jport. Mr. Ross was a Chief Consulting Engineer for GE Aero from May 2002 until January 2018. He is a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas since 1986, member of API 616 Task Force, recipient of 9 patents and a GE Edison Award in 2009. He is now Vice President of Engineering for Relevant Power Solutions building the SGT-A45 mobile generator package for Siemens.
