thanks for posting this :)

I was just wondering if you could also put up the 40 question anatomy
quiz that you handed out at your last DES session? ...Unless you've
already put that up and I just don't know how to navigate google
groups...

Hello Elizabeth, we were just going over some anatomy slides from anatomy practical and bumped into a question. Slide 61, the answer says Inferior mesenteric. But it seems like it's the first artery that comes out from the aorta after the celiac trunk. So would not the answer be Superior mesenteric? thank you

It is the inferior mesenteric artery. It is hard to tell in this
slide exactly where it branches off but you can tell what artery it is
by what it is supplying. If you look at where all it's branches head,
they travel down and to the patients left. The inferior mesenteric
artery supplies the descending colon to the superior rectum which is
where theses vessels appear to be heading. I hope that helps.
