I authored an article that Flying Magazine chose to publish in their
August 2008 issue. The article is entitled “Worse than I Expected”
and appears in their “I Learned About Flying From That” regular guest
editorial feature on page 75. I sold the rights to the article to
Flying Magazine so therefore cannot post it here. I will post a link
to the article as it (if it) becomes available on their website.

My purpose in writing it was more than telling a story of a pilot
flying through difficult weather and landing. Rather it was to
encourage general aviation pilots, and those flying for their own
business purposes to invest in upgrading their skills and flying
regularly to remain comfortable. I hope you find it profitable.
