find out backgroundfiles

If i dont menction the background_dump_dest parameter how to find out
background files where it can stored on sql level command i need.

I know the default locatiion is ORACLE_HOME/dbs. How to ffind the as a
SQL query level.

Kindly plz help mee.....

if you don't specify the background_dump_dest parameter the default
value is assigned to it.

Default value on windows : %ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms\trace
on unix : $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log

you can query v$parameter view to know this value and also find
ISDEFAULT is true if you don't specify any value for this parameter.
