hi,
i have an doubt it may be silly but take seriously.......

in linux after run the environment file (export o_h,...) then we say
like

sqlplus '/as sysdba'

what is the meaning of '/' , 'as' , 'sysdba'

plz give me the idea abt this line...............

When you give sqlplus / as sysdba to login to database that means you
are using host based/OS authentication for database login.

In OS athentication oracle does not ask you for the password.

'/ as sysdba' is same as sys as sysdba.
