Thomas, your answer to this question (post: Will the newest version of AutoCad Mobile still work with my Leica Disto?) indicated that the Leica disto will not be compatible with AutoCAD mobile on iOS.

I am evaluating the disto D2, x3, and x4. Information about compatibility is all over the place, with much of it being very dated. I reached out to Leica and they said the D2 is compatible and the the AutoCAD mobile developers in Israel were working on compatibility for the x3 an x4 last year. Leica did not mention loss of compatibility for iOS although I specifically asked.

I've been using my Leica Disto for several years now in my own house design/Addition service. The Leica DistoI used the most was the E7100i. I could take my Samsung tablet with the last version of AutoCad Mobile, go to a clients site, driw a line with my finger on the tablet, then select the line and put the Disto up against one corner and shoot to the other and it would change the length of the line I drew with my finger.

So now I went out and bought myself a new Samsung Tablet and they've added sooo much junk to a simple program, I really can't tell how to do the simple task of taking a shot with my Disto and having it show on my tablet.

I just wish AutoDesk would get around to testing thier software before forcing people to get the latest Beta version. Offer the Beta versions to developers or volunteers. Don't handcuff the current users that are more than satisfied with the current version they've paid a lot of money for.

I'm sure they'd get enough users to upgrade once the program does what they intend it to do but, when you cripple a program and force the user to upgrade to the newer version, then have to go out and buy a newer computer to run that program along with all your other programs (that have to be reinstalled on the new computer) they're making people go out and look for other options.

I'm more than satisfied by the version of AutoCad that I've been running for a LONG time. I've reinstalled it as my computers got upgraded and if someone sends me a drawing on a newer version, I tell them to use the save as feature and send it to me in a version for the year of software that I'm using.

It's a great version of the AutoCad program and to tell you the truth, I haven't seen a lot of changes to any of the versions in the past years that would make me want to dump a LOT of money to upgrade or, as old as my version is, to have to buy a new seat at an even higher cost.

Autodesk deceived us. They write their legal notices and harass users.
For now, support has been restored on Android. IOS used to be supported as well, but they took away. Now when they introduce it they will call it new, idiots finished.

Instead of a clunky Autodesk application without Leica support, I had to look for an application that would help me.
I have left Audoesk with no regrets for ArcSite.
Works great with Leica and creates a solid inventory, not lines.

You will need the "Pro" version of AutoCAD mobile app (AutoCAD 360) to edit attributes (it comes with your standard AutoCAD or LT license). The editing can be performed in the properties palette.Tap Modify in the bottom bar and select the requested block reference in your drawing. Open the palette using the top right arrow button.

Open the tab "Properties: Block Reference" in the palette. In the Attributes section you can choose the requested attribute or easily (easier than in full AutoCAD) add a new one with the "+" button. Choose Edit (or Delete) by tapping on the local menu icon "". Edit the attribute value to a new one and save your setting with OK.

This traditional process not only took a long time to do but created a large amount of paper wastage. It was difficult to read others handwriting at times so it would often lead to another site visit to double-check the changes. Which wastes a large amount of time and resource.

A great place to learn more about AutoCAD is the AutoCAD Blog page. Back in 2018, I found a post about using the Leica DISTO with AutoCAD mobile by Leah E Friedman. It is only a short blog post with a short video as well.

AutoCAD 360 is the official AutoCAD application for mobile devices. This free application allows you to view, edit, and share anything made by this popular 3D drawing program, all from your Android device.

You can open any project that you have synched with your AutoCAD account, and perform basic edits with drawing tools, moving objects, resizing, etc. You don't even need an Internet connection to work - do what you need to do and it will synch again when you do have online access.

Another interesting feature included in the free version of AutoCAD 360 allows you to share your work. It's easy to do from the program's interface, where you can also add notes and images to complement the project. You can even print your documents from the program thanks to the ePrint and Share service.

AutoCAD 360 is a very useful tool for frequent AutoCAD users, who now have the ability to take their work with them everywhere, whether or not there's Internet access. There is also a paid PRO version that you can buy to gain access to many more features.

Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

The question that needs to be answered is how do we open the AutoCAD drawing in the app from Teams. We do not want to use a mobile app but the actual AutoCAD software. Currently you have to download the file, work on it, then save it back to Teams. This creates more work and defeats the purpose of Teams. Please advise @Snehal_Harshe

@Jraby we are currently also looking at this in our business. We do not use autocad but produce and edit .DWG files in specialist cad software. Currently testing only using teams but if we right click on the .DWG file within teams then choose the option to open in app the file opens in your default .DWG software or viewer. It works best however only if we choose to sync the folder first.

Users can generate as-built drawings upon project completion, to reflect the exact dimensions and materials of the final work, including any changes made to the initial plans during the construction process.

AutoCAD 360 has proven to be a versatile tool that enables users to comfortably work on various design projects. Users have praised its ability to handle tasks such as creating plans, sketches, installations, and social designs. Organizations have utilized the platform to allow drafters to sync their projects online, making it effortless to compose, edit, and revise drawing files from multiple locations on different computers.
