Hi,

4 of us so far decided to take the legal route, so I will give it a day or two for other buyers to join before discussing and negotiate charges with the solicitor.

I engaged with Judicare in March’14

 

Review fee of €500 +VAT (£600)-Their Counsel in Morocco reviewed all my documentation and viability of a case. Paid in March ‘14

 

Judicial opinion: Overall in their opinion, a positive case can be made for the return of my 40% paid to date plus damages.

 

Initial Fees (Phase 1) – £1500 + VAT (£1800) No additional costs or disbursements. Paid in June ’14.

To carry out pre-action diligences and to draft, issue and defend the legal notice issued against the Seller.

Success Fee –10 % of the Net Amount Recovered.

 

To –date, Process and system is slow but I remain confident of a positive outcome.

Dear All,

The Moroccan solicitors have sent the email attached which specifies their fee as 12% but our Spanish friends are negotiating a lower fee of 10%. Please note there is another charge 1% for the court and an additional 600 Euros for land seizure as detailed in the email; some of which can be claimed back from the developer but the rest is payable by the claimant.

I will update you again once we hear back from the solicitor regarding fees settlement.
