Asilah Home Beach Protest

Dear All,

it seems that the work on the ground in Asilah has stalled again. Another group of investors who are in a similar situation to us are organising a demonstration in front of the Moroccan Embassy soon. It would be good if some of us can join the protest to give more impetus. I will put the details on our Google group but please feel free to forward to all concerned.

DO NOT IGNORE ACTION REQUIRED TO PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT

As many of may know, there has been increased activity from investors in taking direct action to raise our plight.

The position of the core team is that over the past 4 years we have tried to find amicable solution with a number of stakeholders including the Embassy, Developer and the Bank. Regrettably, it has not yielded anything tangible.

Some of the restlessness of investors has given way, they are prepared to take direct action in the form of a demonstration outside the Embassy. 

A group of investors have formed a Demo Action Group to drive this through and a member of the core team is liaising with them to provide support to help our cause. This group is taking this fight head on. This is the 1st demonstration which is part of a campaign for a number of demonstrations throughout the year until we get a credible response from the King. 

We the core team, fully support this demonstration. We need you all to acknowledge this email, show your support and be prepared to attend this demonstration. Only by working together do we we have any chance of getting any compensation and completion of this project.    

Purpose: To raise awareness of our plight and seek personal intervention of the King

When: Monday 25th January 2016
Time: Between 11:00am-3:00pm

Where Venue: Moroccan Embassy,

49, Queens Gate Gardens, London. SW7 5NE.

How: Demonstrate Outside Embassy in person with Banners to show investor unity, send a clear message and attract attention of the world media including social media through various channels all the way to the King's Eyes and Ears.

Media: Significant number of media like BBC, Al-Jazeera has been informed including British government institutions to draw attention of plight and to rely this right into the public domain. A number of MP's are also keen to attend to share our frustration.  

Banners: Please create a banner yourself, each investor should attend with one banner with a Key Message. Be creative, go on YouTube and see what is possible to draw as much attention as possible. There is no reason why we cannot make it ENERTAINING AND FUN whist getting a SERIOUS MESSAGE across.

Time for Half Measures is Over, Its Time to Take Action, its Now or Never 

ACTION: 
1. Acknowledge by way of response to this email.     
2. Confirm Attending 1st Demo Yes/No or Prepared to attend Next Demo
3. Share attached pdf with News Outlets and get them to attend the meeting.

4. Share any idea that Draw Interest/Support our Cause

Unfortunately due to work and childcare commitments we will not be able to attend, however, should you organise another one we would try our utmost to attend as this seems like a very good idea.

Perhaps next time though a little bit more notice should be given, good luck to everyone who attends.
