Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-9807 "The operation couldn\u2019t be completed. (OSStatus error -9807.)"

I am sending a https request to a server with an iPad client and have
received a -9807 error code. Using a different iPad device with the
same client does not receive the error.

I don't know how to narrow this issue down further. The error code
from SecureTransport.h shows
errSSLXCertChainInvalid = -9807, /* invalid certificate chain */

How can two different devices with the same code sending a https
request to the same server can have two different results ? one has
error and one gets thru ?


I appreicate any pointer.
