JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Assistive Technology (AT), the AT Paraprofessional works closely with the AT Coordinator and the AT caseload which involves many students with disabilities who require assistive technology support. The AT Paraprofessional performs a variety of tasks associated with this specialized area of instructional technology. These tasks include training staff in the use of AT, problem solving equipment issues, correspondence with staff and vendors, record keeping involving student progress as well as updating and maintaining the AT inventory. Under the direction of the AT Coordinator and student case manager, the AT Para also assists students throughout the school division with assistive technology training and support needed to gain full benefits from the district's special education program.
