Cutting for Story: Editing Animated Features Panel Saturday, October 25th, 2025 from 3 pm to 4 pm in Room 211 Editing an animated film offers the distinct advantage of cutting the movie with the film’s director before it's shot. Editors work with storyboards and temporary dialogue to craft and re-craft the story across many iterations before it gets locked and moves forward into production. From crafting unforgettable characters and building vibrant worlds to blending comedy, action, and heartfelt emotion, they’ll reveal how wild ideas evolve into the scripts that drive today’s most beloved animated series. Whether you’re chasing your first writing credit or already working in the industry, this panel delivers a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes look at the heart of animated storytelling—the words that bring it all to life. Panelists include Charlotte Fullerton (My Little Pony), John Semper Jr (Spider-Man: The Animated Series), and Craig Miller (Godzilla: The Series). Moderated by John Omohundro (Bravest Warrior). Animation Superstars Panel Sunday, October 26th, 2025, 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in Room 208 Animation artists from some of your favorite shows will share their industry experiences, explore diverse career paths, and highlight key roles in today’s ever-changing animation landscape. They will offer practical tips on breaking into the field and strategies for staying nimble and hirable as your career grows. Brooke Keesling, CalArts instructor and ASIFA-Hollywood Vice President, will moderate the panel. I believe this film will light a spark for one to reflect on their relationships with their loved ones.
