SHORT FILM OF THE MONTH: LETTER TO A PIG |
|
RATED PG-13 Letter to a Pig is inspired by a memory from Tal Kantor’s school days, when a Holocaust survivor visited her class and shared his story, sparking a vivid dream that stayed with her. The film explores memory, trauma, and intergenerational transmission through a distinctive blend of live-action footage, hand-drawn animation, and acrylic paint on paper. Its monochrome palette reflects the weight of remembrance, while touches of pink evoke emotion and inheritance. Through this intimate visual language, the film invites viewers to reflect on how we remember and what traces of trauma we pass on.
