Animation has always been more than entertainment — it’s a living art form that reflects culture, innovation, and imagination across generations. At ASIFA-Hollywood, our archives preserve rare artwork, recordings, and historical materials that tell the story of animation’s past — safeguarding them for future animators, students, and fans.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to be part of this vital work. Your gift supports our first efforts to index our vast archive collection, with the long-term goal of digitizing fragile materials, expanding access to researchers and fans worldwide, and ensuring that the history of animation is never lost.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps protect and share the treasures of animation’s past. Together, we can keep the magic alive for generations to come.
Of course, the Annie Awards are a signature part of ASIFA-Hollywood’s work — but they’re only one way we celebrate and advance the art of animation. Your generosity also fuels programs that support emerging animators, animation educators, and public outreach.
For example: ● Our Animation Educators Forum engages faculty in important discussions and events to build stronger curriculum around the globe. ● We offer student scholarships, faculty grants, screenings, networking events, and exposure opportunities to help support all animation artists around the globe ● Our Animation Aid Foundation provides assistance to artists during difficult times.
With every dollar, you help us safeguard the past and invest in the future.
Please consider donating to this important project today. Whether you give $20 or $2,000, your support will make a tangible impact on preserving animation’s heritage and empowering its next generation of creators.
You can also ask your employer to match your donation to ASIFA-Hollywood via Benevity! If you have any questions, please get in touch with ASIFA-Hollywood via email at membe...@asifa-hollywood.org.
Thank you for being part of the ASIFA-Hollywood community, for believing in animation’s power, and for helping us continue this important work.
Warmly, Aubry Mintz Executive Director ASIFA-Hollywood |

SHORT FILM OF THE MONTH: FUSE |
|
Rated R The story is an adaptation of a short story by the Iranian author Sādeq Chubak. However, the idea behind the way the story is told in FUSE was to make the audience in the dark cinema feel like a mouse trapped in a mousetrap. And for the mouse, there is no alternative but to accept the fate dictated by its masters. The mouse represents many individuals or groups: anyone suffering under the ignorance of others, any minority forced to stand against the majority. Fuse is hand-drawn in pencil and digitally colored frame by frame. No AI used.
