Meeting at SSWR in San Diego?

Dear Dr. Lee and the rest colleagues,

Happy New Year ! I hope your semester is off to a great start! I just arrived at San Diego attending the annual conference of SSWR. I noticed there is an interest group called "Researching China" that is scheduled to meet this Saturday from 12:00 to 1 p.m. at Nautilus 1. I wonder whether this is the group that was led by Dr. Patrick Leung last year. If not, are we going to have a gathering at SSWR this year?

Hello Fei Sun,

Good to hear from you. I'll be at San Diego tomorrow. I do have a schedule conflict on sat. although I really wish to attend this Interest Group "Researching China." Will at least try to come for the first half of the meeting. My understanding is that Dr. Patrick Leung might not be at SSWR this year and so this group might have been organized by someone else.

About the API group getting together, I haven't organized any formal meeting as our group has already met at CSWE in Washington DC just 2 months ago. However, I think an informal gathering will be a great idea. Currently, the best time (or only time) for me will be sat. evening after 7:30pm. How about whoever interested to come can first meet at the hotel lobby of the main conference at 8pm and then we can decide where to go (such as my room if that'll be easier).
