I bring warmest greetings of the season from Mohak Bariatric and Robotics, Indore. I hope year 2017 brings to you loads of happiness, success and satisfaction.
I am writing this letter to you with immense joy and pleasure. I am glad to inform you that world-renownedbariatric/metabolic surgeon and key opinion leader in bariatric surgery, Dr. Mathias Fobi, MD. FACS, FICS, FACN, from Los Angeles, California, USA , Past President of ASMBS Foundation, Past President of IFSO and most recently Past Chair of the Board of IFSO Trustees has joined Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics as Director clinical affairs and research. He will also spearhead our academic endeavor, Virtual Bariatric University.
He will be available as a full-timer for all help and guidance leading the clinical activities at Mohak in Indore from 12th January 2017.
Dr. Fobi and myself have a long association and he has been instrumental in helping us develop one of the most sought for and busiest bariatric surgery programs in Asia.
Dr. Fobi is a world leader in Bariatric /metabolic surgery realm and his expertise in teaching and propagating banded gastric bypass across the world is well known to all of us in this space. He is the inventor of Fobi pouch and GaBP Ring. He is also famous as the Hollywood bariatric surgeon having performed bariatric surgery onmany famous Hollywood actors.
We wish to conduct quality hands on bariatric surgery course at one of the highest volume center at Indore under his leadership. We will start an international fellowship program in bariatric /metabolic surgery of 1 year duration under his mentorship.
Mohak Bariatric a pioneer in robotic weight loss surgery will under the mentorship of Professor Fobi bring the science of endoscopic (endo-luminal) bariatric surgery and non-surgical weight loss approaches to the country.
We wish that our present association with Prof Mal Fobi will add newer dimension to not only our premier institute but will be a milestone in the growth of Indian bariatric.
