This discussion drove home the point that,
Lot of times we keep looking for some kind of logic behind all the
happenings in our lives. When we don't see it, we get frustrated...
But knowing that or becoming aware of the fact that this was all meant
to be, it gives some kind of peace/calmness to the mind and be much
more positive. This way of thinking certainly is helping me :-)

I am leaning towards this interpretation -
do your best but don't attribute the outcome to your efforts. What you
have done has a minuscule effect on the outcome compared to the
inevitable forces from many sources. If it fails, don't be sad, it is
not repeatable. If it succeeds, don't be elated, it is not repeatable.
