णिजन्तं रूपम् + तिङ्प्रत्ययाः

Namaste. I would really appreciate if someone can explain to me how do we get the तिङन्तम् from णिजन्तं रूपम् .

पाठ् + इ( णिच् ) + तिङ्प्रत्यः  =  पाठयति . अत्र अय कथं भवति

I see it in the book as follows.

पाठि (गुण) =  पाठे + अ ति = पाठ् + अय् (अयादि सन्धि ) + अ ति =  पाठयति
