Dear all

I found that I am the 7th member of this group, including Rebecca. My
name is Masato Nobata, a Japanese marketer and a father of two kids
and a wife. I am already enjoying the diversity of this group and I
believe I can add one more flavor from Far East island. I am
currently working on movie/DVD business and 007 is one of the latest
projects I worked for.

The reasons why I choose Ashridge is somehow similar to most of you,
but I have one more to add. There are so much good fortune about my
application to Ashridge. In June, I need to go to Madrid for a
conference with my boss but, just a few weeks before our departure,
he changed his mind to stop by at our London office on our way back to
Japan. So, I used this luck to make my first Ashridge visit. Seeing
the magnificent school by myself and experiencing the close attention
and care to students/prospect-students by Rebecca and Jackie made me
more incline to join Ashridge. I also had a chance to see a current
Japanese participant of MBA and heard about his experience, especially
how his wife and child adapting new environment. It was a half day
visit and I moved to Berkhamstead around noon. I was hungry, so I
decided to have lunch at a Thai restaurant on High Street and there
was a group of Japanese mothers and children in the restaurant and it
was BINGO; the wife and kid of that current student of current MBA.
So, I had another chance to get information about the life in Ashridge
from family member point of view.

It is not the end. (Sorry. You may already have got bored to hear
these personal stories but please bear for a few more. ) As I am
working for American company, business trip to Europe is at most once
every two years thing. However, I found that I was attending
another meeting at UK in July. It was almost same time that I got
invitation to One Day MBA at Ashridge from Rebecca on Saturday of
previous week for my London meeting. So, I decided to come to
London a few days earlier and attend One Day MBA. In fact I took
intake interview at the same time. I completed my application essay
and send it to Rebecca via e-mail a day before my departure. I met
Patricia and took her interview on that day. That was two weeks ago.
As you can guess from my participation of this group, I've got
accepted and decided to join the Ashrideg from next January with you
guys. So, what was luck for me? I did not spend almost any money
for visiting school and getting face to face interview. I got various
valuable information without any effort; these are big deals for the
people like me, living far end of the world but considering MBA in
England. I take it indicates my destiny to come to Ashridge.

It is the end of my story today. I will explain a bit more about me
next time.
I am glad to join this group and looking forward to see you all.

Hey Masato, welcome to the group. Just a quick question to break the
ice (and to annoy the crap out of you! :)) - Why this - your name's
Masato, your email id says "nova" and the name with the email id is
"Tohma's father"? :)

Well, we are all glad to have someone from the far east in our group.
Being a foodie (right now, am watching my weight, but still), I just
can't wait to get there and have the opportunity to try food from
various places and beer from Germany (Sandro, you know what to
get! :)). It's good to know you are planning to get your children. At
least now, I'll have someone to play with.

Well, your story does sound fateful! In the end, it is Maktub! Looking
forward to meeting you!

Take care,

Ravi
