Greetings!

It seems that I have heard of, but have never been witness to, what
could be known as the "Ring Lecture" which is done when one brother
presents a masonic ring to a newly raised brother Master mason. Is it
written anywhere? Can anybody clue me in? A very close friend of mine
will be raised at his lodge in Louisiana this coming St. John's day,
and I wish to be there to gift him with a ring Any help in this matter
would be appreciated.

Rick, a prince hall mason went though a little dialogue with me once,
I'll try to find the whole thing. But he shook my hand, covered my
ring with his thumb and said, "what is this?"

An emblem of my profession

"What is your profession?"

Freemasonry

"What is freemasonry!"
