As you might know the Ashland Elks will have a float in this year's
Independence Day parade. We are actively seeking volunteers to
accompany the float down main street, wave to the crowd and have fun!
The staging of the float will take place on Siskiyou Blvd. near triangle
park. The Elks' float will be in the south bound lane going the wrong
way. Anyone wanting to join the float needs to be at the staging area
*by 8:45 *for judging. You should be fit enough to walk approximately
one mile and wear plenty of sun screen and/or a hat, we will have water
available but it never hurts to bring your own just to have it handy.
There will be flags to give away and candy to throw to the kids. We
would like to get 20-30 folks but there is no limit on the number of
participants, so bring your friends if you like. Just wear something
patriotic and you'll fit right in!
Anyone who wants to help build the float can meet up at the lodge
*tonight at 5:30*, downstairs in the basement at the lodge. No artistic
skills required!
