MIXER AT THE LODGE, Wednesday, January 29th, 2014

Ashland Elks Lodge is having a Mixer Wednesday, January 29th to find members willing to step up to the commitment needed to fulfill Officer positions and Ritual Team opportunities.

We have heard some feel they are too new of a member to participate. Truth is, most of the Ritual Team Officers are fairly new members and we encourage new members to dive in.

Other concerns we have heard are about memorization of the parts. That was what intimidated me and  I personally reassure you, with practice and the support of our team coaches it turned into an amazing process of ample reward and pride. I know, some of the recited parts seem lengthy but there are positions that require little, if any memorization. 

 We are proud that our Lodge is dedicated to performing Ritual without script. It is a tradition that has dwindled in other Lodges. We feel passionate about keeping recited Ritual alive and hope you will join us!
 
Please come if you are even the least bit curious. No commitments are required. We will all be there to greet you!

Appetizers will be served at 6pm on the Mezzanine

Initiation will begin in The Lodge at 7:30pm

A $7 dinner will be available at 6:15pm as usual for Initiation Night.
