Hi everyone.

Our next Ashland Bike Club ride will be held SUNDAY, April 27 at 10:30 a.m.  The ride will start from the Claypit Hill School in Wayland.

GPS Address:  40 Adams Lane, Wayland, Ma

Route Name:  ABC – Mass Central in Wayland and Weston II (get the right version)

Ride Rating:
Distance:   Easy (20.3)
Elevation:  Easy - Moderate (42)
Total Gain: 854 feet
Steepest:    6.7%

The Weather
The forecast for SUNDAY is calling for a mostly cloudy day with temps starting around 52 and then skyrocketing up to, well, about 56.  And, it’s going to be reeeeeeeally windy.  Bring something nice and warm.  You can always remove it if you’re too hot.

The Ride
SUNDAY’s route, although it uses many familiar roads, is a fairly new route for the club.  Most of the ride is really easy (i.e., flat) but there are definitely one or two pretty tough hills.

We’re excited about this new route because it does a great job incorporating the Mass Central Rail Trail both on the way out and also on the way back.  In between, we’ll ride through some beautiful areas in both Wayland and Weston.

Overall, the route offers fantastic scenery and a chance to explore some new roads the club has never used before.

Note that parking can sometimes be tight at the school but we’ve always found sufficient space for our riders.

Here's a link to a map of SUNDAY’s route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50484527

To print a cue sheet, go to the link for the ride (see above) and choose “More”, then, from the menu, choose “Print Map & Cue PDF”, then click “Print Official”.

Emergency Contact Form
Have you provided us with your emergency contact information yet?

Many of ABC’s newer riders and a few old timers as well have not!  If you’ve provided this information in the past and it hasn’t changed, we still have it!

The Ashland Bike Club has an “Emergency Contact Form” that offers our riders the opportunity to provide us with their contact information and also their emergency contact information.  Completion of the form is optional but recommended.  If you would like us to be able to contact someone in case of emergency, this is the information we’ll need.

We’ll try to bring an up-to-date list of everyone’s contact information on every ride.

The EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM can be reached by clicking here.

Off the Route
Our “Off the Route” feature includes tidbits we’ve come across that we think are worth sharing.  Please let us know what you think.

Landry’s Used Bike Sale This SUNDAY (Buy one or sell one)
For those not riding with ABC this Sunday, you might be able to find a good deal on a used bike at Landry's consignment sale. Also, although today is the last day, you might be able to sell your used bike if you bring it to Landry's in Westborough TODAY (Friday) to have them assess the bike. Sorry for the last minute notice; you should probably call before you go.

Sometimes there are just no words!  I smiled through the whole video.

Maybe we could get these two to ride with ABC.
