The
Ride
If you’re a fan of short and flat routes, don’t miss
this one!! Although
it’s just under 15 miles long, this route manages to pack in some
really great
scenery. The ride includes a rest stop, not a lunch stop, at
Verrill Farm at
the 8.2-mile mark). With one or two exceptions, this is a fairly
flat ride.
As with all our early season rides, we plan to keep the pace down to give everyone a chance to get back into shape after the winter.

You can print our “official cue sheet” for the ride by clicking the link above, then click “More”, then click “Print Map and Cue PDF”, and finally click “Print Official”.
ABC
2026
Memberships
Please note that all memberships from last year
expired on
January 31. Although our
insurance
premium increased again for 2026 (what else is new), we’re going
to keep the
same $10 per year dues we’ve always had.
If you want to join the club for 2026, dues should be paid any time before your second ride of this season. Our insurance automatically covers all riders for their first ride with the club each year; you will not be covered for subsequent rides until you pay your dues. Memberships can only be paid for with cash; we have no way to accept checks or credit cards. We often are unable to make change; please try to pay with a $10 bill. Thanks!!
Emergency Contact Form
Have you provided ABC with your
emergency contact
information yet?
If you haven’t or if your contact information
has changed,
please follow the instructions below. If there are no changes and
you provided
this information to us in the past, we still have your contact
information so
you’re all set.
The Ashland Bike Club has created an “Emergency Contact Form” that
offers our
riders the opportunity to provide us with their contact
information and also
their emergency contact information.
Completion of the form is optional but recommended. If you would like us to be
able to contact
someone in case of emergency, this is the information we’ll need.
We’ll try to bring an up-to-date list of everyone’s contact information on every ride.
The EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM can be reached by clicking here.

SPECIAL E-BIKE UPDATE
A
meeting has been scheduled between the League of American
Bicyclists (LAB) and ABC’s
insurance company, American Specialty. I’ve
been advised that they are very likely to modify our policy so
that Class 3
e-bikes will be covered. This
is really
great news!!! This is NOT guaranteed to happen but that is the
current plan.
They speculated this change “might” occur in the next few
weeks.
Also note that Class 3 e-bikes are NOT permitted on bike paths in Massachusetts according to Massachusetts law. After reviewing the routes ABC used last year, we found that 75% of them included at least some portion of the route on a bike path. It is NOT clear whether ABC would have coverage on these rides. That is still being researched.
ABC is deeply committed to doing all we can to allow our Class 3 e-bike riders to join our club rides. Stay tuned … We’re making major progress!
How to Get Rid of Ads on Your Android
Here’s
a tip I’ve been using on my (Android) cell phone for years.
You can set this up
in under a minute, you don’t need to download anything, and
it’s completely free.
Read the article: https://www.makeuseof.com/block-ads-on-android-phone-with-adguard-dns/
Here’s the “how to” if you don’t want to read the whole article:
“Open the Settings app and head to Network & Internet > Private DNS. If you have a Samsung phone, go to Settings > Connections > More connection settings. Then, select Private DNS, choose Private DNS provider hostname, and enter dns.adguard-dns.com. Hit Save, and you’re done.”
Note: the process is slightly different on Samsung phones. Go to “Settings”, “Connections”, “More Connection Settings”, “Private DNS”, choose “Private DNS Provider Hostname”, enter “dns.adguard.com” as the hostname, then click “Save”.
Be sure to check your email after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to make sure the ride was not cancelled or postponed. If there’s no email, the ride is ON.
See you soon and … don’t forget those helmets!
