Hi everyone,

Sorry to spam the group but, I wanted to reach out regarding a "Youth Code Camp" that I'll be hosting out of Mojo Coworking in Asheville on September 7th from 9am to 3pm. If any of you have kids that you'd like to get an early exposure to tech or know of others that might be interested in having their kids attend, please help spread the word.

My partner and I have started up a company called Tech Talent South (www.techtalentsouth.com) with the goal of helping to grow tech talent in the Southeast and have hosted several similar camps throughout the Southeast. We believe getting kids exposed to technology at an early age and getting them excited about solving/looking at problems in a new way can be a major game-changer. Kids should come out of the day with enough skills to do some fun stuff and the passion to keep learning. We'll cover some basic Ruby, HTML/CSS, Animation, and will likely have a guest session on mobile development.

Sounds fun! What ages are you targeting?

I'm Cc'ing the asheville-coders group as well to get a little wider
exposure. The Ruby group has basically been absorbed into
asheville-coders at this point.
