10/25 200km: Back of the Bluegrass

Ahem, ahem.

We're making another trip north for PEAK FOLIAGE.

The Back of the Bluegrass is overflowing with attractions:

• -The Bluegrass Trail (a scenic road on the Summer 600km route)
• -Big Walker Lookout
• -Burke's Garden: Known as “Vanderbilt’s First Choice” and “God’s Thumbprint,” beautiful Burke’s Garden is Virginia’s highest valley, and its largest rural historic district.
• -The Amish Store in Burke's Garden (link 2, because VA is for Lovers)
• -The Back of the Dragon

Breakfast starts @ 6am, coffee ready @ 5:30am.

The ride starts at sunrise: 7:45am, shaaaarp.

Yes, the start/finish control is a church parking lot.

It would be a worth a call to the church. I'll try to do that this weekend. 

We parked there last year without consent and without incident.

I’ve ridden to the north and east of this area (Mountains of Misery) but not this area, so I’m excited to explore new roads.
