Hi, everyone!  I hope you’re getting excited about the MCHQWA Ball this Saturday night at Kena Shrine in Fairfax.  The ball is from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and the dress is semi-formal.  (Church dress is OK).  This is an open event, so you can invite your friends.  If you’d like to attend and need a ride let me know by Friday night.  If you are going and can drive, please let me know that too.  For those who haven’t attended the MCHQWA Ball before, there are plenty of tables and chairs for visiting, both inside the main ballroom and in the dining room (where there are a lot of snacks and drinks).  The adults tend to congregate in the dining room so we can hear each other.  J

Earlier in the afternoon, starting at noon at Splitsville Lanes in Fredericksburg is the first annual Rainbow Scholarship Bowl-a-thon.  The cost to bowl is $20 and includes one game and shoes.  This is our major fundraiser for the Virginia Rainbow Scholarship fund which awards scholarships to VA Rainbow girls attending college.   Ashburn Assembly is sponsoring a bowling lane at $50.  If you’re unable to attend, please consider making a donation to the scholarship fund.  Don’t forget, Rainbow is a 501(c)3 organization so any donations made to Rainbow are tax deductible.

Sunday October 5th is our next business meeting at 7:00 pm.  Please plan to attend as we have a lot of information to go over – especially in regards to our Grand Visitation which is Sun, Oct 26th.  Also on Sun, Oct 5th, Fairfax Assembly is participating in the Autism Speaks Walk in DC, and has invited all of VA Rainbow to join their team and walk with them.  If you’re interested, please let me know ASAP so I can give you the information you need to sign up.

I hope everyone has a great ‘rest of the week’ and we’ll see you Sat night at Kena.

In Rainbow Love & Service,

“Mom Clarissa” Jones
