~ Other News ~

Upcoming Instructional DVD.
The lovely folks at WorldDanceNewYork and I head into the studio in November to film my first ever instructional DVD titled Modern Tribal Bellydance with Asharah.  The video lesson will begin with a rigorous warm-up to stretch and strengthen your body, then we will drill basic belly dance movements and an emphasis on sharp and muscular execution, and after that, I'll teach my signature robotic micromovements.  Then we put it all together in a short, but challenging, combination.  There will also be two performances by yours truly.  The DVD will feature music by some of my favorite artists such as Maduro (of course!), Hecate, Venetian Snares, and Cdatakill.  The finished product is scheduled for release in early 2008.
