Registration is now up for my finger cymbal workshop at Saffron Dance, this Sunday, April 19th. Even if you’re a beginner dancer and you’ve never played finger cymbals (also known as zills or sagat) before, this workshop will help you integrate these lovely instruments into your dance. Spring Caravan
Featured instructor and performer at the 3rd annual Rakkasah Spring Caravan belly dance festival, featuring some of the best fusion and tribal dancers in the country, including Bellydance Superstar Sharon Kihara and the guru herself, Suhaila Salimpour! My solo performance will be 7:16pm on Saturday night. Spring Caravan happens every May at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 135 Davidson Ave, Somerset, New Jersey.

Join Asharah for three hours of intense practice aimed at polishing your bellydance technique and building strength and stamina. Asharah is known for her clean technique and muscular execution, and in this workshop she will share with you tips and tricks for sharpening hard movements like hip work and chest locks and for deepening and intensifying smooth movements like undulations and Mayas. She will also share with you a few of her signature robotic movements to add some spice to your bellydance movement vocabulary.
