Second round of e-learning exercise

Hi Gautam,

 

With regard to our previous discussions, I am attaching the test plans and required files for the second round of e-learning exercise. 

There will be two types of videos for the same topic, animated and non-animated. The topics that we will be covering are addition and subtraction of single digit numbers.

The non-animated videos will be accompanied with distribution of corresponding worksheets (attached in this mail) in the class. The students are supposed to work on their individual worksheets as they watch the teacher do the same problems in the video.

 

These videos would be suitable for Level-1 and Level-2 students at DIKSHA KHEL Patna.

The test plan is as follows:

 

a) The students shall be divided into two groups: Group A & Group B.

b) Day 1 (Addition):

1. Both Group A and Group B take the Addition Test (attached in this mail). 
2. Then, Group A is shown the animated video, and Group B is shown the non-animated one.
3. After the videos are shown, both groups take the same test again.
4. Feedback of instructors.

c) Day 2 (Subtraction):

1. Both Group A and Group B take the Subtraction Test (attached in this mail). 
2. Today, Group A is shown the non-animated video, and Group B is shown the animated one.
3. After the videos are shown, both groups take the same test again.
4. Feedback of instructors.

The preferable size of the groups should be at least 15 students, and if possible the groups should contain the same students throughout this exercise.

As suggested, we have done the required changes to the worksheets and test papers. If there are any further questions/suggestions from Awadesh and you regarding conducting the test, we will be glad to discuss. Please let us know the tentative dates of this exercise. We are preparing the feedback form and will be sending them in some time.

Awadhesh (in cc) had earlier conducted the Khan academy video based exercise with the children.
He will be facilitating the video based class with the children.

Suggestion
The questions are in english, can we have them both in English and Hindi

Attached is the feedback form for documenting the response/suggestion of the facilitator for the exercise. Please have a look and let us know of any changes that may be needed. 

 

Have you thought about a tentaive date for the exercise? Also, please keep us in the loop regarding any development with respect to this exercise. We are eagerly looking forward to your response!

Our internet at the center has not been working since a week- so we haven't yet done this exercise.
Also Awdhesh is on leave till the 24th - so we will do the exercise with the children next week.
