Hello all!

The Aarush website is up and running...ready for us to get our final modules configured in there.

A lot of changes are still going to be needed - I've set the website up with the base templates. So please ignore the weird animal images scrolling....we're going to change all that :)

Everyone who's interested in contributing to the construction of the website....please use the login link in the main menu and create a new account for yourself.

Most of the work done so far is related to the back-end modules and their configuration. Next steps would involve locating the right modules for us to activate the features we need on the website.

Module Name Use
Pathauto automatically generates URLs/paths
Google Analytics Gives us data on who's usingthe website and stats around that
WYSIWIG Content Editing, base module
Views Allows us to change what website elements look like
CTOOLS Makes admin tasks pretty easy - bunch of APIs
XMLSitemap Search engine optimization
Backup & Migrate Backup and migrate…as the name suggests :)
Global Redirect If any page isn't working….displays an error message
Media Upload Videos!
DisplaySuite Gives us a lot of control over how most of the elements look like
Webforms Allows us to create forms for users
CAPTCHA security
reCAPTCHA better security
emfield embedding video files and media
Chart Ability to display statistical charts/graphs etc
FontYourFace Type in different fonts (including Indian scripts!)
SocialMedia Easy connections to Facebook/Twitter accounts
CKEditor Best content editor I could find
IMCE Alllows image uploads directly into content

As you all know...we're taking a 2 step approach....the current site automatically goes to the 'Stage' version. Once we've finalized the stage features....we'll be releasing it to 'Production'.

Thank you all for the wonderful work so far in creating the design specs.....we're almost there!

Regards
~Aditya
