MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 15^th October, 2013

 

Date: 15^th October, 2013                                                                    

Venue: Ms. Lata’s home, Vikhroli, Mumbai.

 

Members Present: Dr. Smita, Ms. Sangeetha, Ms Lata, Mr. Nikhil

 

Agenda of Meeting:

1.       Asha Conference 2013 in Mumbai

2.       Asha Mumbai Centre

3.       New projects

1)      Asha Conference 2013 in Mumbai:

Asha Mumbai will arrange Asha Conference in Mumbai on 28-29^th December, 2013.

a)      Venue & Accommodation:

i)        Delegates will be accommodated in Dr. Smita’s home (around 7-8), Ms. Manasi’s home (7-8), IIT guest house and some other arrangement will be done.

ii)       Conference venue will be 8^th floor of Dr. smita’s building.

b)      Food:

i)        Ms. Lata will take care of food arrangements. Detailed menu will be decided afterwards.

c)       Transport:

i)        Mr. Nikhil will manage transport facility of delegates from Airport/ Railway station to venue of conference.

d)      Volunteers:

i)        Asha Mumbai students and teachers will obviously help. But still we will need few numbers of volunteers. If anybody interested, please be touch with core Asha Mumbai team.

e)      Miscellaneous:

i)        Asha Mumbai children will perform some dance, songs, drama.

ii)       Delegates will be given beautiful gifts made by our children.

iii)     Detailed list of all topics will be made very soon.

 

2)      Asha Mumbai Center:

i)        Ms. Karuna sends daily report to all Asha Mumbai volunteers. It will help us to keep eye of progress and routine at Asha Mumbai Center.

 

3)      New Projects:

a)      Project with B.Ed. Students & IIT Professors

Asha Mumbai will be part of Tree mapping project, mainly managed by IIT professors and students of B.Ed.

Thanks for the updates. 

1) I have an iPad that I don't use anymore. Take it from me as it is an interesting tool for game based learning for Asha children. Let me know next time you are in Powai and we can meet. 

2) I am moving out from Mumbai to Bangalore. We should discuss how we can continue our association.
