Una Tcnico/a Universitario/a en Anlisis Qumico Industrial es un graduado/a con conocimientos generales y propios de la especialidad con nfasis en anlisis qumico cuali y cuantitativo clsico, anlisis qumico instrumental y tcnicas industriales de anlisis de acuerdo a las normas vigentes considerando reducir el impacto de estas prcticas en perjuicio del medioambiente y la salud humana.

Es un egresado capaz de velar por el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida, del uso responsable del agua, de la energa, utilizando solamente lo necesario de los recursos naturales.

Posee la capacidad de comunicarse correctamente en forma escrita y oral, de comprender textos tcnicos en ingls, de manejar herramientas computacionales y estadsticas en el mbito del laboratorio qumico.

Integra equipos de trabajo multidisciplinarios, reconoce la necesidad de aprender de forma autnoma, y dispone de amplitud de criterios para la discusin de hiptesis. In this study we describe an experimental procedure based on a chemical industrial process of soya-bean oil extraction applied in general chemistry for undergraduate students. The experiment was planned according to the Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach to teach basic chemical concepts and provide grounding in the management of environmental care. The use of real life chemistry problems seems to salient the relevance of chemistry to our students and enhances their motivation to learn both the practical and theoretical components of the discipline.
