Post mini-reviews of your favorite sidearms, with links to full
reviews if possible. Thanks!

Could I get specifics on requirements of the mini review?

For tips on mini-reviews, look at the Sniper Rifle guide. I want
responses on par with those. Very detailed, and must include
description of specs, pricing, performance, feel, pros, and cons.
Anything else you want to add is fine, but leave out pictures and so
forth.

CM.030

When it comes to reliability and low maintenance the CM.030 is a good
weapon to choose. This fully automatic pistol produced by CYMA is a
clone of the Tokyo Marui G18c AEP. It is one of the most cost
effective sidearms available to airsoft snipers at about $45-$50.

The pistol comes with a high quality NiMH battery and charger along
with the usual BB's cleaning rod and so on. With mostly plastic
externals the CM.030 is extremely sturdy with no rattling or loose
parts. Fully loaded with magazine and battery the pistol has a little
weight to it.

Performance is as to be expected from an AEP with fps in the low
200's. It still gets decent range with a superb hop unit. CYMA did an
excellent job cloning the Marui AEP micro gearbox. The fully automatic
capability is a huge plus if you can afford the magazines, otherwise
it will run through the 30 round magazine capacity in a few seconds.
Marui 100 round magazines are compatible with the CM.030 as well as
all aftermarket parts.

The compact size makes it ideal for the airsoft sniper who wants to
move without being heard.

There are a couple versions of the CM.030. The version two has painted
sights and a 450 or 500mah battery. There is another clone similar in
appearance to the CM030 called the P01. It is easily distinguishable
as it comes in a case, has two 450mah batteries and does not bear the
CYMA trademark but rather the logo P01. Avoid this pistol at all cost
as its performance is not comparable to the CM.030.
