data reading latency

Hi guys,

Currently, I would like to know how many cycles it takes to read a
byte from global memory/shared memory/registers? I think I saw these
numbers are somewhere, but I totally forgot it. If anyone find them,
please tell me. Otherwise, we have to design micro-benchmarks to
obtain these numbers, right?
