Paint with Custom Bitmap as a Brush?

Hey all. I recently discovered Aseprite and love the tool. Thanks to all for making it happen!

I am attempting to assemble a large bitmap using a defined set of 8x8 images. I can use any quantity of 8x8 images in my final bitmap, but no other shapes are allowed. I was thinking that Aseprite could load these 8x8 images as "brushes" and I could stamp them on my final bitmap.

What is a smart way to make that happen?

Hi Steve, sorry a lot about the late response.

At the moment the best way to handle these 8x8 stamps is to copy and paste from other document, and use a snap to grid in the destination (View > Snap to Grid).

I've plans implement custom brushes for v1.1
