Here are some food ideas for camp. Another idea I have is doing more elaborate dishes with the kids helping pour or measure ingredients. When the meal is finished, we can sample it to them so we don't have to make a ton of food for the children. We can educate them on different units of measuring for cooking. What you use to measure wet ingredients and what you use for dry ones. Then we can get into detail about the ingredients. For example how is flour made, what nutrients oranges have in them, etc. They can write the recipe on an index card to take home, etc. I feel the more we can add to one simple activity the less stressful and planning we need to do! :)

Italy

Pizza dough for pizza. Really easy and they can make mini pizzas. We can do a more time intensive pizza dough if we want to make this a 2 day project.

Costa Rica

Oven baked version of Maduros. Easy, healthier version, and only one ingredient!

Morrocco/Africa
Cinnamon Oranges

Hi there,

I have researched and posted activities for India, Japan, Australia,
and Ethiopia. Each country has at least 6 activities. So far it seems
I'm the only one looking for activities. I would love to have some
help on this.

I really wanted to be on the food committee, but if there is already some other people doing that, then can you please elaborate on what Friday market is?  I'll research some field trips in accordance to the different countries we will be doing!
