We call it Mancala: To make a Kigogo board, you will need an empty egg
carton with the lid removed, as well as tow extra empty egg
compartments that can be cut from another empty cartoon. You will then
need 48 dried beans to use as markers or pieces. Use the extra egg
compartments to tape to the middle of each end of the egg cartoon,
those will be the Mancalas where each player will place his/her
pieces. Paint the board and allow it to dry. Now they can play Kigogo.

1. Pour the milk into ta mixing bowl, slowly add 3/4 cup of the
cornmeal and whisk into a paste.
2. Heat the water in a medium saucepan to boil.
3. Using a wooden spoon, stir cornmeal and milk paste mixture into the

Swahili Memory
Make a simple but fun memory game to help students learn some common
Swahili vocabulary words and phrases. Using index cards, write a
Swahili word on one side of a card and on another card write the
corresponding English definition. You have to decide how many words or
phrases you want to include. Lay the cards out in a square or
rectangular formation with the words facing down. Groups of two or
three students can take turns trying to make matches and if he or she
make a match they can have another turn. Of course like common memory
games the student with the most matches wins.

I will put more things up tomorrow.
