Demonstration Gardens
Looking for gardening ideas? Visit our new Water-Wise and Natural
Plant Care demonstration sites at Garden for the Environment, located
at the corner of 7th Avenue and Lawton Street in San Francisco. A self-
guided walking tour of the garden will provide ideas for water-wise
plantings, efficient irrigation practices, and organic pest control
techniques. On your tour of the garden, read through the informational
signs for tips, techniques, and best practices for a beautiful, water-
efficient and less-toxic garden.
Water-Wise Demonstration Garden
The garden is free and open to the public every day. Garden experts
are onsite Wednesdays and Saturdays to answer your specific questions.
Through a partnership with Garden for the Environment, the SFPUC also
sponsors free organic gardening workshops hosted at the demonstration
gardens. For a list of upcoming classes, click here.
