I was sifting through my collage poetry manuscript and came across this collage poem from 2019...

i will keep it simple

only a couple of thoughts here,

i will keep it simple

i wanted to continue with something

with this new perspective in mind

i think it is safe to expect

and most art bores me silly.

and i have no interest in it.

like the lines on an orange peel,

might reappear on the border of itself

the flow and spontaneity

everything you say resonates on some level

my response was mostly a visual one

for my part this can be considered finished:

i had come to the conclusion

all this sounds a bit like the early days.

I’ll be back late tonight.
