Hi guys,

Has anyone tried to submit our pretreatment digital models yet online? The whole conversion thing is a little confusing but I haven't tried it yet. Carolyn I am assuming you are done and have been done for a month, so any help would be appreciated :)

Lol, I was just looking at this. I am not quite sure how this works....maybe we need to contact ABO to check into this? Or as Jen? Or Orthocad? What do you guys think?
And do you have to submit them still, even if you are only doing a paper submission? Or just print them?

I have not done it...but I was hoping you didn't have to if you are planning to do paper submission....i emailed Erin at ABO to verify

I remember last year I had to get the orthocad login for Trent, so I think that is how you do it, you download the STL file from orthocad

Excited to see everyone!! (wish you were there too payam :(

From what I read and understand. Even if you don't do digital you have to upload the digital models and all worksheets to the portal

Yep Steve, I think you are right. Trent said that he had Blake do it. Maybe we should ask him.

I just read through all the instructions yesterday. But of course I could be wrong. The whole process is a trivial and confusing. Glad I signed up before I graduated because pretty sure I wouldn't be doing it afterwards :)

From how I understand it, it seems like even if you do paper submission, you still have to upload your pretreatment/interim digital models in the correct format and certain paperwork, but not ALL of your records.
I think you are right Steve!

I keep trying to ignore your emails and wait until the day before to submit anything :)

as if you thought graduation had changed anything?

:)

On a separate note....DOES ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE (ie. you 4 co-residents) FEEL AS THOUGH YOU ARE MAKING A LOT OF $$$, BUT IT STILL DOES NOT SEEM LIKE NEARLY ENOUGH, haha....I mean seriously I feel like nothing has changed since residency

Hey all,

Are any of you planning on doing any extra reading for the ABO? I was thinking that it would be nice if we worked together to compile some articles to read--based on some topics that the examiners might have research interests in?!

Let me know if anyone is interested in working together on this.
