So during consult this past week, I had an Indian couple with their 7 yr old daughter...she needed expansion and 2x4.
Well I was TRYING to say we will use the expander to push the teeth APART, but instead I said "we will use the expander to push the teeth A FART" I almost lost it and so did my TC, but LUCKILY the facial expression of the parents did not change at all, I think because of the accent difference they didn't catch it completely, but seriously I said Fart during consult...WHO DOES THAT?
Oh, on a side note I'm at the Virginia Assoc. Ortho meeting near DC, and it's at the Ritz Carlton :) But it was a 2 new things for me; 1) my first time staying at a ritz and 2) my first ortho conference without you all! :( I saw all the VCU residents together and it made me miss you guys. Also, they have to be the most egotistical group of residents EVER, a first year resident walked up to me and said "So you work with Dr. Gardner!, and I know your wife in Endo, well I went to Princeton Undergrad, UF Dental, and now VCU Ortho....and you went to Arizona or something like that.." So basically her introduction was a CV comparison...I wish Carolyn could have been there to have a little girl fight of eye rolling, haha
See you soon at AAO!
