Tomorrow, Feb. 17 at 3PM will be our first in-person meeting for the March in March.
We will be meeting in the Physical Plant Conference Room at the District.
We will be discussing the following activities:
1. Secure funding/Donations
2. Marketing/Promotion
3. Recruitment/Campus Outreach-Support
4. Legislative Appointment Setting
5. Schedule Coordination
6. Legislative Team Coordination/Training
7. Other duties assigned to ensure success
Later in the evening the SSCCC will be holding their March in March informational conference call please see agenda and call-in information below. If you have time please call-in to get the latest up to date information regarding security, logistics and such.

5.02 The March in March Safety Team Coordinator Senator Cutting/Valenzuela
This Safety Team Coordinators will discuss the safety pre-cautions that have been made for this event
to include but not limited to:
1.1 Security Monitor per 50 people
2. No sign handles, sticks, or other devices over 18 inches
**(the CHP will confiscate on sight and these items will be considered weapons)
3. Security Monitors are NOT to engage the public - they are to direct traffic, marchers, and alert
law enforcement officials of problems or altercations
4. Puppets will not be allowed this year and enforced by the CHP.
5. Please see the Safety regulations attached and review with your college.

*** The SSCCC Council will be wired for sound and we will be working with all four law enforcement agencies (CHP Capitol Detail, Sacramento PD, Sacramento Co. Sheriffs Dept., and the West Sacramento PD) to ensure that this is a peaceful and productive march. We will be briefing folks as they arrive that no violence and/or disruptive activities will be tolerated and they will be detrimental to our message.
