Structural Design Considerations vs. Construction Errors

The ASCE NCS Construction Committee invites you to the quarterly professional development workshop on Saturday June 8, 2019. The event is free and one (1.0) professional development hour (PDH) will be awarded for attendance!

Mr. Xinzhang (Andy) Li will discuss structural design considerations to avoid common construction errors. He will also provide various structural solutions for some common construction errors. He will share with young engineers his biggest challenges throughout his 30-year plus career and how to overcome some professional problems. In addition, Mr. Li will introduce a few famous projects he did and provide valuable recommendations for structural designers and construction professionals.

Mr. Li is currently Senior Associate with Tadjer-Cohen-Edelson & Associates, Inc. He joined the company in 1997 and has designed hundreds of high-rise buildings since then. The Chinese Embassy Residential Building and the Trump Plaza are two of his signature projects.
