ASCE's Construction Institute (CI) and the ASCE National Capital Section, along with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and ANSI's A-10 Committee on Construction and Demolition, invite you to attend an exciting one-day workshop for construction professionals, including owners, architects, engineers, construction mangers, general contractors and subcontractors, to discuss construction engineering's impact on the safety of both site workers and the public.
During the Construction Safety Workshop, presenters will examine case studies of successful utilization of construction engineering practices on multiple construction projects for risk management and safety management.
Construction engineering has the potential to impact construction safety in the areas of: demolition, utility relocations, temporary ground support for excavation or adjacent buildings and structures, highways, bridges, tunnels, and the management of construction risks.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT?
This one-day workshop will be a conversation between construction professionals about how to improve our individual company processes for safety. A total of 8 PDH units will be awarded for attendance.
The keynote speaker will be Mohammad Ayub, Director, Engineering and Construction Services, OSHA
Attendees will be served a hot breakfast and lunch, with morning and afternoon breaks. Vegetarian meal options will be provided.
There will be free parking available on-site.
