Commodores, past and present.
The popular Commodore Classic will be sailed on Sunday, June 3. It is more than just a race -- it's great party and a gathering of the folk who make our area yacht clubs run properly.
As a tribute to the folk on the hot seat, there is no entry fee for this event. Following the race, there is a big complimentary buffet feast in the patio and lots of good socializing. Our guest dock is available before and after the event, to encourage commodores from Channel Islands and Santa Barbara harbors to come to the party.
The notice of race and entry form are attached. It would be great to have representation from all the yacht clubs on the Gold Coast. With Larry Leveille, who frequents our waters, going through the bridge at Santa Barbara Yacht Club, we just might get a boat or few from up there.
The principal race officer for this race is veteran racer Denny Dwire.
Trophies will run 10 deep.
